BB grows big!!!!!! Also which one did you get? The are finicky about water requirements and soils. The like well drained area! and do not like wet feet
also their root is shallow. I bought 8, only 3 made of those I only have one left
this one cross breed its self with another one called opera, and now it give white and light purple flowers!! Also put them by them selfs, they do not like competition from other trees. The only one left I have it with asparagus
salvia, echinacea, bee balm it looks great (Butterflies welcomed)
You can make new plants out of small cuttings. By the way this plant is not native to USA is from china, and it has been put in the list of becoming invasive. I keep mine by not allowing it to go to seed, cut the flowers after their gone dark, this avoids the plant to go to seed and give you more blooms! Good Luck

I would plant them anywhere from 4-6 feet apart.
