My hydrangea blooms but the flowers do not flower completely. Some will bloom yet the other buds on the flower never complete the bloom. What is my problem?

You might have a lacecap hydrangea, which often behaves this way. They might also fail to bloom completely if they are not getting enough light or in a zone that is too cold for that variety's preference.
