Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy hydrangeas are about 25-30 years old. They grow very tall and droop over, especially after a rain; then they never raise up again. Should I cut them back drastically so they won’t be as tall? Or do I need to replace them with newer plants? They still bloom nicely but many of the blooms droop on the ground.

You do not need to replace them with new plants. I would highly recommend pruning them instead. The following article will give you some general information about pruning hydrangeas:
