Q.Hydrangea – not flowering this year after many flowering years + was never cut back in fall or spring

No flowers after many years of prolific flowering from one specific hydrangea. Plant has never been pruned or cut back. It’s nearby flower garden “mate” is doing well. Never got into discussion about old wood vs new wood as there was never a problem after 6 years until now. Can you help.
