Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in South Alabama. Plant zone 8b. I purchased an Incrediball Hydrangea in April of this year. I planted it immediately and it has bloomed and looked beautiful. In the last few days the leaves have looked wilted and wind burnt. It is planted next to our air conditioning unit. I have a moisture meter and it reflected it was dry but when I stick my finger in the soil, it feels moist.
I do not want to loose my hydrangea. What do you suggest I do? If I need to move it, I will.
Thank you for your help.

I believe your plant is suffering from the planting location right next to your air conditioner unit.
Shrubs planted closer to the condenser than 3 feet will not only act as baffles to air movement but their dropped leaves can be an issue for the unit.
Your Hydrangea is being subject to constant breezes of hot, dry air.
