Hibiscus

Can I keep a hibiscus tree indoors in my foyer. It gets morning light but deferred light in the afternoon. If not a hibiscus, what would be a tall flowering plant I can use in this area indoors?

Hibiscus plants require very high light to bloom indoors. The plant will be nice and green with the light you deescribed, but blooms will be few if any. Almost any of the dracaena family will be a good tall indoor plant, but no blooms. It has been my opinion for years that there aren’t any good, blooming tree type plants for indoor settings. If you truly want a blooming plant, consider having 2 or 3 to rotate from a very sunny location in the house to your foyer. Good luck.
