Hibiscus Tree Planted Outdoors

We planted hibiscus trees outside this past spring. We live in eastern Idaho where the winters are pretty harsh. Can we cover our trees and leave them in the flower bed where they are planted, or do we need to transplant them to pots and bring them inside for the winter?

Hardy hibiscus need little winterizing. You can mulch around the base of the shrub in fall, but that is all they really need. Once they are planted, they should be fine from year to year.
