Can you grow Hyacinthus in pots in the South?

Yes, in most locations. Hyacinths do best in gardening zones 4 through 9, and yes they can be grown in pots. See this article to find your gardening zone:

In warmer zones, hyacinths can still grow, but they may be short-lived.
