hyacinths

I purchased some hyacinths in a pot, discounted as they were done blooming. Can I plant them in my yard in Sacramento, CA and expect them to bloom again next year?

Yes, you can plant them in the yard and they will bloom next year. They will, however, not have as many flowers as they did this year. This is because their bulbs will be dividing over the late spring and summer making more smaller bulbs. And these buds will require a couple of years growth in order for them to be as big as the bulbs you may have now.
