Hyacinth Plant in Ground

I recieved a hyacinth plant in a clay pot.  I want to put it in the ground.  I know I must water it every day until established. But then does it require a lot of water to remain healthy? How often?

Once established, you will need to give it 2-3 inches of water a week, including any rainfall you get.
