Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe planted a hyacinth this spring. It began flowering and had many buds, looked promising but something appears to be cutting buds just before they open and the bush appears to be slowly dying, yellowing leaves at bottom. What can we do? Thanks so much.

This could be the work of cutworms. You can try treating the soil with Bt, neem oil or even beneficial nematodes. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/get-rid-cutworms.htm [1]
