Q.How Yo Plant Elderberry Sapling
I received 4 saplings of Elderberry. They are about 3 feet tall. They have roots but not a root ball. They have been sitting in a pail of water for 4 day. Can I still transplant them? Will each Sapling grow into a separate Bush or do I plant all 4 saplings together?

Honestly, I would plant these in container for their first year. Each rooted branch will be its own tree. They will have more of a chance of survival if they were to develop a one gallon container's worth of roots before planting. Once you have done this, and the tree has a good set of roots, you can plant it outside. This article will help you to give it proper care once you do:
