Q.How/when To Sow Wild Poinsettia Seeds I Have Harvested?

Zone 27959 | Anonymous added on September 22, 2023 | Answered

My wild poinsettias spread like crazy on their own. I harvested seeds to share. How & when should these be planted outdoors in NC & VA? Or can they just be “tossed” outside now to grow in spring?

They are aggressive spreaders by seed and can be "tossed" into the desired area in late fall. They should germinate in spring. To prevent unwanted spread, they can be grown in containers.
