Q.How To Use Coffee As Garden Fertilizer, Recipe For Liquid Coffee Fertilizer, Etc.
Would like to know how much and often to sprinkle coffee grounds in my vegetable gardens. Amy Grant also had a bit on making a liquid coffee-based fertilizer. Would like to know some specifics about that. Thanks

There is a lot of room to mess around with amount and ratio for both, but there is a general recommendation. Sprinkle a thin layer (0.5 inches) of coffee grounds on your garden soil every 1-2 months, or mix one part grounds with three parts compost. This adds nutrients like nitrogen, potassium, and magnesium, improves soil structure, and slightly acidifies the soil. To make liquid coffee fertilizer, brew used coffee grounds, dilute it with water (1:10 ratio), and apply as a foliar spray or soil drench every 2-4 weeks. Avoid overuse to prevent nutrient imbalances. If you are unsure, compost the grounds first.
