Q.How To Travel With A Lilac Bush?
I am digging up part of a lilac for my grandmother. I live in Wyoming and she lives in Oklahoma. I am needing any information possible on this particular subject. Like the best part to dig up, the best way to store it during relocation, and so on. Please help if you can. Thank you

Yes, dig up one or two of the young shoots coming up at the base. It is best to wait till spring if you are contemplating doing it now. Since you are traveling with it, I would plant it in a nursery pot with soil. Keep it well watered afterwards and during the trip. If you need to lay the shrub on its side during the trip, be sure to cover the pot so the soil doesn't run out. Here are more tips:
