how to transpant this to outside ? and when

I have a plant that was given to me, see picture, it flowered now I would like to move it outside, I think it’s a bulb?? Not sure how do I know when to put it outside and how do I care for it now so it doesn’t die.

This appears to be an Amaryllis, however without flowers it can be difficult to tell.
