Q.How to save my schefflera?

Zone Los Angeles, CA | tmchrstn2011 added on June 19, 2017 | Answered

I recently inherited a potted schefflera — its in a pot in a sunny window, north facing, so pretty much no direct light. I’m being careful about watering, because the pot doesn’t drain. Bur the leaves are steadily turning brown and falling, off is if burning from exposure and lack of water.

It has new growth coming, I’m really at a loss!

Poor drainage and soil that does not drain will result in root rot.
I suspect that is the issue with your plant.
Repot in a container that has drainage and use a good commercial potting mix.
