Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy husband sent me a bouquet of 18 calla lilies on September 8th. Most died after the first weekend, but two survived up until about two weeks ago. The remaining living calla lily is growing roots in the water I left it in over this past weekend. I can’t help but think it’s symbolic and I’d like to keep it, but I do not have a green thumb. How long will it survive in this lone cup of water and how can I safely transfer it to a pot? Please be reminded, I do not have a green thumb. I’m a plant-dummy!

I’m sorry you will not be able to grow a Calla Lily from a cut flower.
Calla Lily grow from a tuber or rhizome.
