Q.How To Revive My Neighbours Container Rhododendron
my neighbour had her container rhododendron on her patio facing south with many hedges blocking the sun and now she’s given it to me in the hopes I can revive it. The leaves and buds are very yellow, brown and brittle. The soil in the pot is quite moist. I’ve put it on my 2nd floor balcony facing south east, getting late morning, afternoon and evening sun. Should I trim it back, let it dry out… will that revive it? I can’t really keep it on my balcony indefinitely, therefore can I transplant in the garden here at my apartment building? Please help. Thank you!

Check the drainage in her container. They like moist soil but not wet feet. Also, if you have a shadier place to plant it will help. They don't need as much sun as is on your balcony. These articles should help:
