Q.How To Rescue A Staghorn Fern??

Originally grown in Ft Meyers FL. Huge fern held up by chains on tree that was basically destroyed during Hurricane. Broken pieces mailed to me wrapped in damp paper towels. Seem to have made the cross country trip. But there are no roots or spores. Can you help??
