Q.How To Protect Hotlip Salvia In Winter?
I have several lovely Hot Lip Salvia perennial bushes. How do I protect them and put them to dormancy for the rainy, cold (some freezing) winter in Oregon?

Hotlips salvia is a hardy perennial in your area so you really don't need to take extra precautions. If you are concerned, you can cut the plant back to about a couple inches from the ground after it goes dormant, and cover it with mulch. Remove the mulch in spring when all chances of a frost have passed.
