Q.How to pot a new plant

Zone 30680 | Abhinandan sharma added on May 28, 2018 | Answered

I have bought these new plants but they are in small black coloured baskets. I want to know that should i cut these baskets using a blade or just plant them with the badket itself. The problem is that if i try to cut the basket it will damage the roots.

You will need to remove the basket. You can do so without causing significant damage to the roots. A little damage is actually good for them. This helps them to branch out.

Just squeeze the basket around the whole way until it loosens, and hold the plant between your fingers as you turn the container upside down to get the plant out. You can then pot it up to a larger container.
