How to Plant Hibiscus Root/Corm

Question

I have ordered and recieved today a giant flowered hibiscus plant. It has not as I thought an actual established plant might look, but instead a dry root of some description. How do I treat it to begin with in order to grow a successful plant? It was quite expensive.
