Q.How to plant a sweet potato
Can I plant an actual sweet potato. I cannot find them at a nursery. Can a sweet potato from a store be plants in a hanging pot to GROW?
Please let me know. Or do they grow like potatoes DO? I have never tried them?
I just bought a greenhouse.

Although they aren't even closely related to potatoes (They are essentially morning glories with tubers.) you can plant them from these tubers. Leave a sweet potato on a shelf with light from a window. After awhile it will grow shoots and roots. You can cut these into individual plants and plant into a large container. The larger the container, the larger the roots get.
