How To Permanently Remove Rose If Sharon

I have just bought a house that has at least 6 rose of Sharon bushes next to the house. I have cut them down but want to permanently remove them How is best way to get rid of them

It will not be enough to cut them down, unfortunately. They will respond by growing back stronger and larger. You will, also, need to kill off the roots.
