Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI had moved into my new home that had a lovely lawn (it had been laid with sod). Now 1 1/2 years later the lawn is overgrown with weeds that just keep growing back. What non-toxic remedy can I use to kill them (I have dogs and do not want to harm them) and keep them from growing back and grow a beautiful lawn?

First thing is to understand that a mono-culture lawn – what most of us think of when we think of “lovely lawn” – is totally unnatural, and to maintain it, especially if you want to avoid herbicides and pesticides, is going to take a lot of work. Besides your pet-friendly weed killer, you’re going to spend a lot of time digging out the plants you don’t want.
