Use ericaceous, well draining soil for hydrangeas, camellias and rhododendrons. Place the pot on a south facing window so it gets some sun this time of the year. Ensure the pot has plenty of water drainage holes or drill more holes. They set dormant flower buds a few weeks to about a month after they finish flowering so prune -if needed- right after flowering.
