How to identify pepper plant

Question

I have a plant that looks similar to peppercorn plant. But I am not sure if they are peppers or not. They had sprouted in my garden on their own. How to check if they are black pepper corn plant or not.

I agree that this looks like the leaf structure and pattern of the Peppercorn plant.
Until it forms the pepper seeds you will not be sure.
