Q.How To Get Rid Of Hidden Ginger Lilly? It Is Taking Over Our Bed And Digging It All Up Is Too Much For Us

This ginger has large bright green leaves that are 3 -4 feet tall with a pink flower at the base of the plant. Our soil has dome clay and is hard to dig in. We tried digging some rhizomes up but there were too many. Is there any product to kill them?

You might have luck with a product containing glyphosate, or a product labeled as a bush killer. It may take a few applications to eradicate all the rhizomes.
