Q.How To Germinate Heliconia Angusta Seed

Hello i wanted to make small saplings of heliconia Angusta. currently i plucked the seed like small thing from its flower and planted in garden soil in small pot. Will it germinate? I need help on this particular plant. Iam in a situation where i cant cut the small plant growing from its root and replant, that is why iam going with the seed method

They can be germinated, but it is not completely straightforward. Generally, they can take up to a year to germinate. They also need a treatment to germinate. They must sit in water for several days that contain its fruit pulp. Then you can begin the long wait to germination.
