How to care for Hibiscus plant

I bought a hibiscus plant at the store down the street from us in June and put it out on the patio where it was breathtaking and it continued to produce huge white flowers with red centers. Then once all the flowers had bloomed, it developed no more. So I brought it indoors to try and save it. The branches and leaves all went brown on it and I was ready to toss it out when I noticed that the portion of the stalk above the dirt had sprouted little green leaves on it. Also, it was still green. Can I still save it? If so, what should I do with it? Thanks a lot. The flowers that were on it are a bit different than that of my red one.

The Hibiscus likely did not receive enough light when you moved it indoors.
Hibiscus is a tropical plant and need bright sunlight, moist and loamy soil and humidity.
