Dogwoods (Cornus spp) can reach anywhere from 15-40 ft. tall, depending on the variety and where grown (i.e. smaller in sun, taller in shade). On average, Kousa dogwoods (C. kousa) grow to a height and width of 20 to 30 ft., Flowering dogwoods (C. florida) grow to a height of 40 ft in shaded conditions or 15 to 20 ft in full sun, and Cornelian cherry dogwood trees (C. mas) grow to a height of 20 to 25 ft with a width of 15 to 20 ft.
