How Stop My New Lavender Plant From Dying. It’s Only Been Planted For 2 Weeks

I bought two small potted lavender plants 2 weeks ago. I put them in large pots with a bag of peat free compost that already had nutrients In it. Within days started dying. I’ve repotted them into my actual garden between my little Lilly’s . The Lillys are still great but the lavender is dying. Any suggestions please

The pot may have been too large and held too much water. They are very finicky about their water. Well draining soil is a must, too. Compost as potting soil may be too rich. These articles should help:
