How often should I expect my elephant ears to bloom?

I purchased 2 elephant ear bulbs 2 years ago and one has 4 blooms on it currently. Is this the norm I should expect?

Yes, these can bloom quite frequently some years, and quite infrequently others. You may clip these off, or pick them after the pods ripen, and immediately plant the seeds inside. They will die if they dry out.
