Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI am having stones installed on a path through the woods from my house to pool area. Eventually I want to grow moss between the stones as it’s a very shady area. How much should I leave the stones protuding from the ground so I will have vertical space for the moss?

It would depend on the height of the moss you will be using. In the example below, the moss grows 2 inches. I would think just about 1/2 inch would be suitable in paver height.
