How Much Copper Sulfate to Kill Blight Spores

I use 12 gal. containers in a greenhouse 17 x 20′ screened sides, glass roof, 50% opened. Center 5′ glassed year round. I read about spraying copper sulfate on the soil, letting it dry then watering it in to kill blight spores. I have blight. Should I remove all tomato plant roots? How strong of a solution should I use? I have a small 1 qt boiler I could attach to a 3/8″ rod with holes and could push it into the soil and force the steam into the soil. How far apart would the penetrations have to be and how long would I leave the rod at each location to kill the spores? This seems very labor intensive.
