How many cucumber pants can be placed in a single pot?

Hello, I just planted cucumber seeds three days ago and it has already grown 2 to 3 inches above the soil and 2 inch roots. I didn’t expect it to germinate and be off this size in three days. I also didn’t expect my 9/10 seeds to survive. I have 12″ pots but wanted to find out how many of the plants can be placed in a single pot. If I can have more then one, how much distance do they need to be separated.

One 12 inch pot will hold one plant best, but two may survive in one. It would just produce fewer fruits with more than one in a pot that size. Here is an article for more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/cucumber/cucumbers-in-containers.htm [1]

If these are regular sprawling cukes, put only 1 plant per pot. There is no way a 12 inch pot will hold enough moisture for 2 mature cucumber plants on a hot day. 12 inches doesn’t tell me how deep the pot is but it sure sounds small for even one, in my opinion. But cluster the small pots together so bees can pollinate the flowers. How about 5 gallon buckets from the hardware store. Don’t forget to drill holes for excess water to drain and air to enter.
