How Long Does This Take To Happen

Question

Can this happen if you barely slice the skin of a lime and if so how long would it take to happen could it take less then 24 hours ? Does it only happen to likes on the tree?

This is, simply, a natural occurrence for many limes. It isn't usually this pronounced, but this does happen quite often. This is nothing to worry about.
