repotted my orchid plant

How long does it take to grow a new orchid stem for the buds to appear after repotting? I repotted my orchid plant and it is growing a new leaf but it hasn’t shown any signs of a stem growing out for new buds. The old stem died awhile ago.

Here is an article about the general care of orchids.
You could fertilize weekly to generate new growth.
