planting an Anacacho orchid tree

How long after planting an Anacacho orchid tree should you wait to prune it? We planted the tree in October 2014. How soon can we trim up the thin lower branches to begin shaping it?

The best time to prune an anacacho orchid tree is soon after it blooms in spring\early summer.
