Q.How long after flowering I can cut back spent Snowflake plants?

Zone Dublin, CA 94568 | kleary57 added on April 4, 2017 | Answered

Do I have to wait until plant goes entirely brown or can I cut them back while still green but falling over? I love the plant but would like to put something else there for the summer.

If you are referring to leucojum plants, these grow from bulbs. The bulbs need nourishment from this year's foliage to ready them for next spring's show. For best bulb health and future flowers leave the foliage in place until it yellows. When that happens, feel free to cut of pull it off.
