How I Can Save My Gardenia Plant

Anonymous added on May 6, 2011 | Answered

I have a gardenia plant that was a gift from my hubby. A few days ago it was affected by small insects, so I sprayed some Boric powder on it.  Now the plant is losing its leaves. Please help me to save my gardenia.

Gardenias attract a number of insects: aphids, mealy bugs, scale, red spider mites and thrips. They will also drop their leaves as a response to insect infestation. Most pests can be effectively treated with neem oil. Here is more info: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm
