How Fast Does Purple Fountain Grass Grow?

I am creating a boundary border and want to use Purple fountain grass to do so but I would like to know if I get 1-gallon plants, how long will they take to grow up and out? What might I expect for a rate of growth? Thanks!

It is a pretty rapidly growing grass. I can't give an exact growth, as this is influenced by weather, soil and care, but I think you can reasonably expect that they will double in size in a year.
