How Far Out From The Orange Rocket Barberry Do The Roots Grow?

How far out from the orange rocket barberry do the roots grow? I am planting mine near arbor vitae. I want to make sure the roots have enough room to grow with out them killing each other.

I looked up the specs on the plant and it grows about 1.5 feet wide so you can count on the roots being about that width. If your arborvitae is mature, I would space the Orange Rocket at least 2 feet from it.
