How Effective Is Sedum Mix At Stopping Tree Growth

My forest located house is surrounded by an over-growth of trees that I am culling to promote the continuance of healthy, established trees. I need ground cover to prevent the return of the over-abundance of trees and to maintain line-of-site through my property.

Generally, you will want something aggressive to stop tree growth. Sedum root growth could inhibit other root growth, but it would depend the type that you choose.
