Q.How Do You Prune Creeping Juniper
I have creeping juniper on a hill as a “ground cover” but it is tangled and does very little to cover the ground. The are many bare branches and some clumps of green growth. Would pruning help it to spread and fill in?

It doesn't tolerate a lot of pruning. However, pruning out old, dead foliage could increase its vigor. Is it possible the dieback is caused by a fungal infection? If so, it can be treated with a fungicide labeled for junipers.
