Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comThis is my first time to have a Gardenia tree. How do I know how moist it should be? I live in Houston, TX. How often should I water it when we don’t have rain? Some of the leaves are turning yellow. I don’t know if it’s getting too much water or what the pH level is, and I don’t know how to check the pH level.

They need about 2-3 inches of water a week, including rainfall. You can either buy a soil test from a garden center or take a soil sample to your local extension service to have the pH checked.
