Q.How do we sell our 55 year old Japanese maple

Zone Northern California | Soerrahedge added on August 1, 2015 | Answered

We have a beautiful 55 year old Japanese maple that is right in the way of our only area in our yard to put an addition on our house. It will cost $4,000.00 to transplant, which is unfortunately way more than our budget. I would hate to cut this tree down and I hope we can find someone that wants it.

I would suggest contacting a local garden club and see if anyone would be interested in the tree and expense.
Also local garden centers may know someone who is interested. Word of mouth is good advertising.

Advertise in local papers.

Best of luck.
