How do we control a non- producing almond tree from shedding excessive leaves?

Our 2 trees shed leaves everyday. The trees do not produce any almonds. The trees are 30 feet in height. The leaves have a white fungus and are red with yellow.

Adequate water and fertilization is important to support foliage health, but the white fungus may very well be contributing to the premature leaf drop.
