Once your amaryllis flowers fade, snip off the spent blooms to prevent seed formation, which drains energy. Leave the stalk until it yellows—it feeds the bulb through photosynthesis. Keep watering and feeding with a balanced fertilizer every few weeks, letting the leaves thrive. When the foliage starts dying back naturally (usually in late summer), cut it off and let the bulb rest in a cool, dry spot for 8-10 weeks without water. After dormancy, repot, start watering again, and it should bloom beautifully in the next season!
